Chiral Molecular Assemblies group
Our group focuses on the fine control of nano-micro nanostructures based on molecular self-assemblies. We aim at understanding the fundamental mechanism of the nano-chiral or periodic assemblies and the parameters which controls their morphologies and dynamics.

The Supramolecular Chemistry group at the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology of Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia) aims synthesis of chiral hosts, design of supramolecular conjugates consisting of recognition and signaling functions, and study of chiral recognition properties in solution phase.

Supramolecular Chemistry group
Our group is focused on structural analysis of complex supramolecular complexes and assemblies and ab initio absolute structure determination of chiral enantiopure molecules and complexes using single crystal X-ray crystallography, mass spectrometry and NMR spectrometry We work at the interface between synthetic chemistry, structural chemistry and supramolecular materials science and aim to the understanding of the weak intermolecular interactions which are responsible for the recognition, catalytic or self-assembly properties observed in the target compounds/materials.

The group at Trinity College Dublin uses synthetic organic chemistry to study all aspects of tetyrapyrrole chemistry and biochemistry. In the INITIO project we prepare porphyrin-based receptors and catalysts for the binding, identification and activation of small molecules.

Physical Chemistry group
The Physical Chemistry group at the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies (DiSTeBA), University of Salento (Lecce, IT), focuses on the deposition and characterization of thin organic films for the development of new functional materials. We implement different approaches for controlling the chemical organization at supramolecular level and investigate the properties of thin organized films by a number of complementary surface techniques.

IS’s instrument design and development capabilities are evident in the broad range of applications for which our products are used for, and as well as in the company’s own line of products.
IS is particularly proud of its line of FTIR / FT-NIR instruments which form the company’s core products. IS manufactures a variety of optical spectroscopy component such as light sources, detector systems and accessories that can be used to produce a wide variety of spectroscopic systems.
The modular FTIR/FT-NIR concept facilitates the arrangement of optical components into configurations that best fit the needs of a specific spectroscopic application.
IS also manufactures custom FTIR spectrometers for different specific application which are used through OEM and other partnership channels. IS team consists of 7 highly experienced engineers who have been previously engaged in designing spaceborne infrared spectrometers for the Soviet space stations “Salyut-4”, “Salyut-7”, “Kosmos-1686” and “Mir”.
